Michael Walton
Michael WaltonCEO
  • Michael founded Rynda Property Investors LLP in September 2005.
  • His skillset includes structuring real estate joint ventures and funds in Europe for institutional and high-net-worth investors and the subsequent deployment of capital. Though most of his work has focused primarily on Western Europe, Michael is also familiar with both Scandinavian and Middle Eastern markets.
  • Before setting up Rynda, Michael was a managing director at Citigroup Property Investors (1998–2005), where he was responsible for all investment strategies throughout Europe.
  • Michael has previously worked at Lazard Brothers & Co. Ltd (1994–1998) and Touche Ross (1992–1994). He holds an MBA from Bayes Business School and an MA from the University of Cambridge.
  • He is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
Lucas Rohr

  • Lucas is head of our operations in Germany and He also heads up the Rynda Lyon team.
  • He is a licensed property manager and broker in France and a licensed broker in Belgium.
  • Lucas has 15 years of experience in real estate in Europe and Australia.
  • Languages: German, French and English.
Catherine Duff

  • Catherine has 15 years of experience working in real estate.
  • A chartered accountant, qualifying with Deloitte.
  • She moved to Citigroup Property Investors and subsequently Rynda Property Investors LLP.
  • Catherine then undertook consultancy work within real estate across a range of asset classes and investor profiles before returning to work for Rynda. Catherine has specialist knowledge of real estate investment in the UK, France and Netherlands.
  • She is based in Manchester and oversees our UK ‘beds’ investment strategies.
Joseph Penn
Joseph PennInvestment Director
  • Joseph joined Rynda in 2009 and now oversees our operations in Belgium and the Netherlands.
  • He has worked in the sector for more than 15 years, with 12 years’ experience in the Dutch property market and six working in the Belgian real estate market.
  • Joseph specialises in investment strategy execution across a range of asset classes in the UK and Europe with a recent focus on student accommodation.
  • He previously worked at BNP Paribas Real Estate, London and CRESA Partners, NYC.
  • Joseph is based in London.
